Thematic Units

Thematic Units are taught to help reinforce literacy (reading and writing) through science, social studies, and health. During each unit I use poems, charts, and big books to introduce the theme as well as work on literacy skills that your child will need.

Within the themes, we write about what we've learned, we read books and poems, and we focus on sight words and new vocabulary that are associated with that theme unit.

Please check out our theme units for the year as well as some pictures.
